Transparency: what Raised Ranch does and never does
Last updated: 06/10/2026. Responsible: SWS Soluções Digitais LTDA (contato@swstech.com.br).
What the game never does
- It does not read what you type. The only key the game hears outside its own window is the optional shortcut Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R, if you turn it on in the options; it is registered with Windows as a shortcut and the game sees no other key.
- It does not capture your screen or read other windows. The option that hides the strip during full screen only asks the system whether a full-screen program is on the monitor, without knowing which one or what it shows.
- It does not use the internet in the solo game, apart from Steam (achievements, cloud and purchase). Usage data and the features with friends come off and only work if you turn them on; the parental lock can block both.
- No ads, no premium currency, no loot boxes and no paid draws. The only draws in the game (the three traits offered when you hire a helper and the album's rare harvests) are free, with a guarantee of progress, and nothing drawn can be bought.
- It does not sell progress or an edge with friends. Paid boosts are permanent DLC, with the effect written before you buy, and they only apply to your solo farm, never to the co-op farm.
- No pressure. No countdown offers, no events you can miss, no timers that force you back and no penalty for being away: nothing dies and nothing is lost.
Where your data is
- Your save is on your computer, in the game's data folder, with a backup of each day for a week. In the options you can export the save to Documents/Raised Ranch and import it from there.
- If you use Steam Cloud, Valve keeps a copy, under Steam's rules.
- If you turn on Cloud copy of my save, our server keeps one copy a day for 30 days, only for you (without the farm name you typed); turning it off deletes them.
- What happens to usage data and to the features with friends, when you turn them on, is in the privacy policy.
Our promise to players
- Never take your progress back. Balance changes only apply going forward and are announced in the patch notes.
- What you earned stays yours: purchases, achievements, helper levels, mastery, the album and decorations.
- Your save is yours: export it any time, and the game never writes over a save it cannot read (it keeps a copy aside first).
- The whole game for the price of the game: no DLC is needed to finish anything.
- Honest notices: the effect of each DLC is written in the game and on the store page. And the farms only produce while the game is open (hidden in the tray counts): closed, nothing grows and nothing is lost.
