Raised Ranch — Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Raised Ranch ("the game") is developed and published by SWS Soluções Digitais LTDA, CNPJ 46.206.875/0001-45, Goiânia/GO, Brazil ("we", "us"). Contact for any privacy matter: contato@swstech.com.br.
Short version: playing on your own, we collect nothing. Usage data only if you agree, and always anonymous. The neighborhood feature, if you turn it on, stores on our server only your Steam ID and a snapshot of your farm. The cloud copy of your save, if you turn it on, keeps one copy a day for 30 days, only for you.
1. Playing solo
- The game has no account of ours, no ads and no player profiling.
- Your farm is saved on your computer. If you use Steam Cloud, Valve stores a copy under Steam's privacy policy.
- Achievements, "now playing" status and the purchase of the game and its DLC are handled by Valve on Steam.
- The game never captures your screen, reads other windows or records your keystrokes.
2. Usage data (telemetry) — only if you agree
On first launch the game asks whether you want to send usage data. It starts off; you can change it in the options at any time.
If you agree, we send to our server:
- a random install number (not your Steam ID; it does not identify you);
- game version, operating system, game language and which paid boosts the install has;
- gameplay events from a fixed list: session start and end (open farm, number of farms, time-away range, minutes played), mission completed, chapter finished, in-game purchase (what and how many you already had), window or display option changed, and a problem opening the save.
We keep only the day a batch arrived, not the time.
We do not send your name, email, Steam ID or anything from your computer. We do not store your IP address.
Purpose: to learn where the game is too hard, too easy or confusing, and improve it. Legal basis: your consent. Events are kept for 12 months; after that, only aggregated numbers. The "Delete my usage data" button in the options asks us to delete everything tied to your install.
3. Friend features (co-op and neighborhood)
They start off and can be blocked by the parental lock. On first launch, after the usage-data question, the game asks once whether you want to play with friends; nothing turns on unless you choose "Turn on".
- Co-op connects you to your Steam friends over Steam's network. Nothing goes through our server.
- Neighborhood (visiting farms, gifts, community goal, friends leaderboard) uses our server, which stores:
| Data | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| Your Steam ID (confirmed by Steam itself) | to know who you are and show your farm only to your Steam friends | until you delete it, or 12 months without use |
| Your Steam friend list, stored only as codes scrambled with a secret key (your friends' IDs are not stored) | to show your farm only to people who also have you as a friend and turned the neighborhood on | until you delete it |
| The latest snapshot of your farm (crops, building and field positions, the styles chosen for your buildings and built workshops, visible upgrades, production yard, decorations, animal coats, helper styles and colors, a name picked from word lists) and this week's totals | so your friends can visit it, and for the friends' board | replaced on every update |
| Pending gifts, helps and notes (from a fixed list) and your contribution to the weekly goal | to run those features fairly | until claimed (30 days at most) or the week ends |
The server does not store your name, email or IP address; the name your friends see comes from Steam itself. There is no chat and no typed text between players. Legal basis: providing the feature you asked for by turning it on. The "Delete my online data" button in the Neighbors panel deletes everything on the server, and turning friend features off deletes it too.
Co-op uses a private Steam lobby (invite only), and Steam's network carries the messages: nobody sees anyone's IP. The co-op farm is saved on the computer of whoever opened the lobby.
4. Cloud copy of your save — only if you turn it on
The option "Cloud copy of my save" (Save section of the options) starts off and the parental lock blocks it. When it is on, the game sends one copy of your save a day to our server, so you can bring back a specific day (the "Restore from the cloud" button) or, if you ask us by email, so we can help you recover it.
| Data | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| Your Steam ID (confirmed by Steam itself) | to know whose copies they are; only you can read them | while you have copies |
| Your save: the progress of your farms. The farm name you typed is removed before sending | to restore your game | 30 days per copy (30 copies at most) |
| The day of each copy | to choose which day to bring back | with the copy |
No name, email or IP address is stored, and nobody else (not even your friends) sees your copies. Legal basis: providing the feature you asked for by turning it on. Turning the option off, or the "Delete my cloud copies" button, deletes all of them at once; the daily backup of our server databases keeps them for up to 7 more days.
5. Reports and support
The "Report" button (Neighbors panel) opens your email app with a ready message: the reason picked from a list, the Steam ID of the player you report, yours, the date and the game version. Nothing leaves until you send it. If you write to us or report someone, we use your email, the Steam IDs involved and what you send to answer and resolve it, and keep it for 12 months after it is closed. Legal basis: legitimate interest and legal obligations (protection of children and teenagers).
6. Who we share with
Only Valve (Steam), for the features above; HostGator, which hosts our server; and Cloudflare, which sits in front of it to deliver requests and protect against attacks, and so sees the IP address in transit (we do not store IP addresses, not even in access logs). We never sell data or use it for advertising. Data may be processed outside your country (Valve and Cloudflare, in the USA).
7. Children and teenagers
The game is rated for all ages. Steam does not allow accounts for children under 13. To protect younger players:
- nothing is collected in solo play;
- usage data, friend features and the cloud copy start off;
- the parental lock (a PIN in the options) keeps friend features, usage data, the cloud copy and the purchase showcase off;
- only Steam friends interact; there is no chat, advertising, profiling or contact with strangers;
- we store the minimum and delete it with one click.
Parents and guardians can request deletion by email.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under Brazil's LGPD or the EU GDPR), you can ask for access, correction, portability and deletion of your data and withdraw consent. Email contato@swstech.com.br; we answer within 15 days. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
9. Security
We use encrypted connections, minimal data, restricted access and short retention. If an incident affects personal data, we will notify those affected and the authorities as the law requires.
10. Changes
Relevant changes will be announced in the game's Steam news before they apply.

12. Test version (before launch)
Before the Steam launch, a test version goes to testers we invite. It works like the game described above, with these differences:
- It only opens with a personal code the tester gets from us. The game checks the code on our server on first launch and every 24 hours; without internet, it keeps opening for up to 72 hours.
- On the server we keep only a fingerprint (hash) of the code, never the code itself, and a tester nickname ("T1", "T2"...), with no name, email or IP address. The test license the server sends back stays only on the tester's computer.
- In the neighborhood and the cloud copy of the save, a test number takes the place of the Steam ID. Testers only see other testers.
- The neighborhood between testers starts on, and the code screen says so first. It can be turned off in the options, and turning it off deletes the online data. The cloud copy and usage data stay off until the tester turns them on.
- The test ends on January 31, 2027 or when the game reaches Steam, whichever comes first. After that, the server deletes the data of the test numbers on its own, and the test version stops opening.
Legal basis: providing the test service the tester accepted (Brazil's LGPD, art. 7, V).
